LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- From the Las Vegas dry cleaner to the ritzy multimillion-dollar casino, cyberattacks are continuing to bring the city to a halt, but university professors have had enough.
In the spring, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas cybersecurity interdisciplinary program launched with the goal of around a hundred students in five years—they met their goal in one semester.
“There is a high demand in the cybersecurity field,” Juyeon Jo UNLV cybersecurity education professor said. “As a nation, there is a huge shortage in cybersecurity professionals, because the society and all the industries and everything has been changed.”
