Vijay Kumar Malhotra breathed his last at Delhi AIIMS on Tuesday morning.

BJP's senior leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra passed away on Tuesday morning at the age of 93. He had been admitted to Delhi AIIMS for the past few days. AIIMS informed about his death this morning.

Malhotra was a prominent face of the BJP in Delhi. He had been a Member of Parliament from Delhi 5 times and a Member of the Legislative Assembly twice. Vijay Malhotra became the first state president of Delhi in 1980.

A significant milestone in Malhotra's political career was his victory in the 1999 Lok Sabha elections, where he defeated former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by a large margin.
