As a relief to the heat in Delhi-NCR, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, and Ghaziabad will see light rain today and tomorrow, i.e, on September 30 and October 1. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast generally cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle on Tuesday. As per the IMD, the maximum temperature is currently hovering between 35 degrees Celsius and 36 degrees Celsius. This could bring a dip in the temperatures in these cities. In terms of temperature, the national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 37.5°C on Monday, while Sunday was even hotter at 38.1°C, the highest for the month in the past two years.
Delhi’s air quality remained in the “moderate” category on Monday with an AQI of 120, according to CPCB. The city also witnessed unusually high temperatures in September.
