A driver was treated for injuries at the scene of a rush hour crash involving a bus and a car in Coventry on Monday afternoon (29 September). The incident happened on Ansty Road, near the Wykeley and Mellowdew Road junctions just before 5pm.

Police and ambulance attended the scene, though the latter seems to have been there more by chance. A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service say a woman was treated but thankfully she did not suffer anything too serious.

"One of our ambulances came across a collision involving a car and a bus at the junction of Wykeley Road and Ansty Road at 4.48pm," the spokesman told CoventryLive. "We treated one patient, a woman from the car, for injuries not believed to be serious before she was discharged at the scene."
