A slew of new place to dine, from small plates to pasta and more, have opened in metro Detroit.

Some longtime favorites also have closed, while others are taking a temporary break.

It's been another busy month or so in metro Detroit's restaurant scene. There's been a slew of openings, from places offering Latin-Caribbean and pizza fare to restaurants with new menu items and hours. Other places have closed.
