Scotland is gearing up some tumultuous weather as a powerful Atlantic hurricane makes its way towards our shores.
Over the last few days, the Met Office has shared dramatic images of Category 5 storm Hurricane Humberto and the newly formed Tropical Storm Imelda making waves - quite literally - over the North Atlantic.
As a result, from tomorrow, Wednesday, October 1, large parts of the country will be under a yellow weather warning for severe rain. The official alert is in place from 5pm until 6am on Friday, October 3. Meanwhile, from Tuesday, September 30 until Thursday, October 2, downpours are also set to thrash western Scotland .
