But it’s difficult to wrap-up Oregon week without tying up a few loose ends.
James Franklin’s team, a prohibitive favorite over UCLA on the road this week, dropped a gut-wrenching 30-24 overtime decision to Oregon on Saturday night at Beaver Stadium.
The game ended on PSU veteran quarterback Drew Allar’s interception on a first-down play from the Ducks’ 25.
Allar tried to hit tight end Luke Reynolds on the right side on a boundary throw that talented Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman appeared to be waiting on. The Ducks’ DB caught the ball at the 17, securing Oregon’s upset.
The turnover came after Allar and the Lions’ offense rallied PSU from a 17-3 deficit in the fourth quarter to force extra time.
