Following a winter storm that left streets covered in ice for days, the Worcester City Council is working to make changes to this winter’s snow removal.

On Tuesday, the City Council is expected to vote on pay increases, according to the agenda.

Chief Human Resources Officer William Bagley Jr. has requested increased hourly rates of about $3 per hour for snow customer service representative, snow inspector, snow supervisor and winter operations coordinator when its outside normal working hours, which was supported by City Manager Eric D. Batista.

The snow customer service representative hour rates would change from from $43.95 to $46.64, snow inspector pay would change from $50.76 to 53.87, snow supervisor pay would increase from $60.29 to $63.96 and winter operations coordinator would
