A 911 caller falsely claimed they shot their mother at their Berkley home early Sunday morning, prompting a massive police response as a dispatcher guided another resident through escaping the home.
The call came in at 1:29 a.m. on Sept. 28, from a male individual who said he shot his mother at their home on Padelford Street, according to the Berkley Police Department .
The caller said he still had a gun at the scene, the department said. This prompted a response from not only Berkley police, but officers from Dighton and Freetown.
