ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. - Police are investigating after a woman was found dead in her home last weekend in East St. Louis.

According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), Shanika Barbee, 38, was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon after being found inside a house, located on State Street.

There has not been any arrests made in connection to the death. Authorities have not released information on how Barbee died.
