LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Governor Gretchen Whitmer, along with Ford Motor Company, Ford Philanthropy, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), has announced a $1.54 million investment to create new, high-tech learning labs in partnership with Detroit Public Schools Community District, Marshall Public Schools, and schools in the Battle Creek area.
This initiative, called Ford Future Builders Labs, aims to benefit nearly 7,300 K–12 students and 75 teachers by providing hands-on learning experiences that build skills for careers in skilled trades, advanced manufacturing, and the auto industry.
