Today, I choose to exercise my First Amendment right to free speech and criticize President Donald Trump’s Sept. 24 address to the United Nations.

I watched the nearly hour-long speech in its entirety. The president misrepresented facts, repeatedly demeaned the prior administration, attacked the United Nations and other world leaders, and boasted about his own supposed accomplishments.

So many statements that Trump asserted as facts are wholly unsupported and simply not true. For example:

“Under my leadership, energy costs are down, gasoline prices are down, grocery prices are down, mortgage rates are down, and inflation has been defeated.”
