SPRINGFIELD — A man was stabbed to death in the North End on Monday night.

The victim was found suffering from a severe stab wound at about 10:35 p.m. near 2800 Main St., said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police Department.

Responding police officers provided aid to the man until medical personnel arrived. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center by ambulance and later died from his injuries at the hospital, Walsh said.
