SOLON, Ohio — Roxbury Elementary School students and staff are continuing classes at Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls as the district addresses previous asbestos concerns at the school, Solon City Schools officials announced in a Sept. 27 update.

District leaders said they are taking a “three-track” approach to ensure a safe return to the building.

The first track focuses on students and staff, prioritizing continuity in academics and extracurricular activities. The district said staff have worked to create a familiar environment at Parkside Church, with full academic programming, specials and recess activities.

Additional resources were mobilized over the first weekend of the transition to ensure classrooms, technology and daily operations were fully functional.
