New Delhi: Over 40 per cent of clinicians in India are now using artificial intelligence (AI) in their work, a three-fold increase from just 12 per cent last year, according to the Clinician of the Future 2025 report by Elsevier , the Netherlands-based scientific publisher.

India’s AI adoption surpasses the global average of 48 per cent and is ahead of the US (36 per cent) and UK (34 per cent), though it still lags behind China (71 per cent) and the Asia Pacific average (56 percent). The survey drew insights from around 2,200 clinicians across 109 countries, including roughly 275 from India.
