The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) , founded on Vijayadashmi in 1925, will complete 100 years on Thursday. Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar founded the RSS. When the RSS began its journey in 1925, k haki shorts, khaki shirt and khaki cap were adopted as their first official uniform. The outfit remained RSS’ trademark attire for over 90 years before the organisation decided to do away with khaki shorts in 2016. Even though other parts of the uniform have been changed from time to time, khaki shorts remained constant till 2016.
