While festivals bring vibrancy and cultural fervour, they also coincide with closures of liquor shops on designated dry days. For residents of the capital, this means planning, as alcohol sales will be restricted on multiple occasions.

The month begins on October 1 with Navami, marking the final day of Navratri and Durga Puja festivities. Many Delhi residents traditionally abstain from alcohol during this period, and liquor shops in areas with high religious observance may see minimal activity.
