WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for certain ready-to-eat meals containing pre-cooked pasta that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause serious illness.
The alert covers two products: 12-ounce clear plastic tray packages labeled “MARKETSIDE LINGUINE WITH BEEF MEATBALLS & MARINARA SAUCE” sold at Walmart, with “best if used by” dates from September 22 through October 1, 2025, and 16-ounce plastic tray packages labeled “TRADER JOE’S CAJUN STYLE BLACKENED CHICKEN BREAST FETTUCINE ALFREDO” sold at Trader Joe’s, with “best if used by” dates September 20, 24, or 27, 2025. Both products bear USDA establishment numbers inside the inspection mark.
