A bicyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV on I-93 in New Hampshire late Monday, according to state police.

It happened just before 9 p.m. near exit 14 in Concord. The rider, who police said was on an electric bicycle, was trying to cross the highway at the top of the exit ramp when the SUV merged onto the ramp and hit him.

The bicyclist, identified as Keerati Nakklee of Concord, was rushed to Concord Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The ramp was closed for the investigation but has since reopened.

It is illegal to ride e-bikes, which are not subject to registration, licensing or insurance requirements, on the highway in New Hampshire, police noted.
