Fire crews have been called to a property in Irvine where a woman was found dead. ‌

The grim discovery was made on the North Ayrshire town's Pladda Avenue at around 6.15am on Tuesday, September 30. ‌

A huge cordon has been placed around the home and the adjoining streets. ‌

A fire engine and Scottish Fire and Rescue Fire Investigation Unit van were called to the scene this afternoon.

The vehicles arrived in the Ayrshire's town's Bourtreehill area .

Firefighters were seen entering an end-terraced house at the centre of the police investigation . ‌
