Police have issued a warning to e-scooter and e-bike riders after seizing 35 vehicles. Officers from across the Cambridge Neighbourhood Teams held a city-wide day of action on September 29, carrying out proactive patrols on foot, police bikes and in police cars, focusing on hotspot areas where concerns have been raised by members of the public and local businesses.

The operation aimed to tackle the growing issue of privately owned e-scooters being used illegally on public roads and pavements, as well as other vehicles being ridden dangerously or without insurance. Throughout the day, officers removed 26 e-scooters, eight delivery e-bikes and one moped (for no insurance).
