A 24-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after attempting to drive the wrong way in downtown Ottawa.
Members of the Ottawa detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police said they saw a vehicle making a wrong-way turn on Isabella Street shortly after 4 a.m. on Monday morning.
Believing the driver to be under the influence of alcohol, OPP said they used a roadside screening device and brought the driver to the station for further testing.

The 24-year-old is facing charges related to operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and with a blood alcohol concentration higher than 80.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle compounded for seven days, police said.
