YOUNGSTOWN - Meridian HealthCare is breaking ground on a $2 million expansion at the Meridian Road location.

The project will create 10 jobs, will add about 3,000 square feet, and will renovate part of the over 26,000 square foot facility.

This expansion will bring more counseling and exam rooms and on-site pharmacy to the building.

But there is a bigger goal in mind. Larry Moliterno, President and CEO of Meridian HealthCare, said it’s an ongoing effort to address the gap in mental health services.

“We've been around for over 50 years, and everything that we've done in those 50 years has been about responding to the needs of the local community,” said Moliterno.
