OHIO, USA — The minimum wage in Ohio is set to increase to $11 per hour for non-tipped employees on Jan. 1, 2026, and $5.50 per hour for tipped employees.
According to the Ohio Department of Commerce, the minimum wage will apply to businesses with annual gross receipts of more than $405,000. This is an increase from the current $394,000.
The current minimum wage is $10.70 per hour for non-tipped employees and $5.35 per hour for tipped employees.
A constitutional amendment passed by Ohio voters in November 2006 says the state’s minimum wage will increase on Jan. 1 of each year by the inflation rate.
