Drivers will encounter lane restrictions this week on Interstate-78 in Lebanon County.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said lane closures and shoulder closures will be needed for the inspection of two bridges on I-78 that span the Swatara Creek and an abandoned railroad two miles east of Interstate-81 in Union and Swatara townships, Lebanon County.

Weather permitting, the restrictions will be in place in both directions from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, and Friday, Oct. 3.

A right lane and shoulder restriction will be in place on the eastbound bridge on Thursday. A right lane and shoulder restriction will be in place on the westbound bridge on Friday.
