A 65-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a Tuesday morning crash at a Cumberland County intersection, authorities said.
New Cumberland resident Robert A. Rustay’s motorcycle collided with a car around 7:30 a.m. at South Third Street and Clark Street in Lemoyne, Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall said.
West Shore Regional police Chief Anthony Minium told reporters the car crashed into Rustay’s motorcycle, which was pushed into a third vehicle. The striking car caught fire afterward and became engulfed.
Minium said the three vehicles were traveling in the same direction, away from New Cumberland. He declined to comment on the cause of the crash, citing the ongoing investigation.
The car’s driver showed signs of impairment and was taken away in handcuffs after the crash, per proto
