Democratic candidates in special elections are performing better than former Vice President Kamala Harris did in 2024, according to CNN political analyst Harry Enten .

The most recent special election that took place was for Arizona’s 7th congressional district, where Democrat Adelita Grijalva defeated Republican Daniel Butierez. Grijalva won the district by 39 points, 17 points more than the amount Harris won the district by in 2024, according to Enten.

Enten said that, on average, Democrats are winning elections by 18 points more than Harris’s margin.

“This is one of the best signs that Democrats that have so far,” Enten said.
