CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A former charter school bus driver was arrested in Charlotte and charged with multiple sex crimes against children.

Leetwain Darrell Tate, also known as Sharon or Ms. Sharon, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 30. He was charged with:

Statutory rape, two counts

Indecent liberties with a minor, six counts

Statutory sex offense, one count

According to officers, Tate was a bus driver for Sugar Creek Charter School. None of the alleged crimes happened on school property, they said.

The crimes allegedly happened against four teens between 14 and 15 years of age, but officers said they believed there may be more teens.
