The Office of the Inspector General has found that the police officers who shot a suspect at a car wash in West Haven in September 2024 , killing him, where justified in the shooting.

After reviewing the case, the Inspector General also recommended that the law enforcement agencies that were involved review the decision-making process in the case.

The shooting happened at the Splash Car Wash on the West Haven-New Haven line on Sept. 19, 2024.

The report, which was released on Tuesday, said that 36-year-old Jebrell Conley had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in connection with a shooting and robbery in Hamden and officers learned that his vehicle was at the car wash.
