HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month and some Central Nebraska libraries are seeing new members coming through their doors.

In Hastings, 150 new members have signed up for their first library cards. The new members, who got new cards, updated their information, or referred a friend or family member to the library were also eligible for $30 in Chamber Bucks, which can be spent like cash at businesses throughout Adams County.

In Grand Island, 140 new members signed up for a library card through the month of September. The Grand Island Public Library Themed National Library Card Sign Up Month, ‘One Card, Endless Possibilities,’ which highlights that libraries are for everyone—regardless of age, background or goals.
