PHILADELPHIA — Eagles cornerback Kelee Ringo was the biggest winner from Sunday’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which makes Adoree’ Jackson the biggest loser.
Injuries to Jackson and Jakorian Bennett forced the Eagles to start Ringo, who lost the CB2 job to Jackson in training camp.
After only allowing one catch for eight yards to Buccaneers’ wide receivers, Ringo could become the permanent starter opposite of Quinyon Mitchell , sending Jackson to the bench.
“It’s possible,” Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said on Tuesday about Ringo remaining the starter even when Jackson is healthy.
