RIALTO, Calif. (KABC) -- Carter High School in the city of Rialto was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning as police investigated a reported threat on campus.

Rialto Unified School District announced the lockdown in a post on social media just after 11 a.m. The school district said Carter High School Principal Kristy Streff had informed families.

As a result, Eisenhower High School was placed on a precautionary lockdown and has since been lifted.

This comes one day after Rialto High School was placed under lockdown in a similar incident. In that case, Rialto police reportedly received a call of someone threatening violence at the school with weapons and explosives.
