ALBANY – Governor Kathy Hochul is blasting President Trump and Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem for cutting 187 million from counterterrorism funding in New York that she said directly impacts the safety and security of New Yorkers.
“A Republican administration literally defunding the police is the height of hypocrisy – and walking away from the fight against terrorism in the number one target in America is utterly shocking.” She said any New York House Republican who doesn’t fight to have the money restored “is complicit in making their constituents less safe.”
