HAMILTON, Ohio (WXIX) - The Butler County Emergency Management Agency will not be dissolved following a vote Tuesday by county commissioners.

The 2-1 vote was met with applause inside the packed commissioners meeting as a few dozen first responders were on hand to show their support for Butler County EMA.

“I don’t know that anybody in the room really predicted which way it was going to go, but for our folks in the EMA, it was that sign of relief that we know that we’re going to have a dependable agency looking out for the Butler County Residents in the event of an emergency,” said Liberty Township Fire Chief Ethan Klussman.
