AMES, Iowa —

Iowa State will be without two of its best players for the rest of the 2025 season.

Starting cornerbacks Jeremiah Cooper and Jontez Williams have both been ruled out for the rest of the year. Both were preseason All-Big 12 selections.

Cooper, a converted safety who earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2023, entered the year with seven career interceptions. He did not appear in Iowa State's win over Arizona on Saturday.

Williams was injured late in the game against Arizona with the Cyclones already leading by more than 20 points. He intercepted a pass earlier in the game to set up a short touchdown drive.
