It's ironic the social media post which originated from a City of Fargo employee can’t even be referenced due to the vulgarity.

This post showed not only a lack of empathy for the death of a man, a husband and father, but a group of people who have a different ideology from the post’s author. The vitriol made me wonder if I — someone who apparently doesn’t share the same view — can even feel safe in Fargo.

I was born and raised in Fargo and lived there for the majority of my life. I could feel safe no matter the neighborhood or time of day. Until recently, I returned here to shop at least two times a week. That is ending.
