The 49ers do not have a rushing touchdown through four games. And only one team in the NFL has a worse yards-per-attempt average than the 49ers’ measly 3.3 mark.
What the heck is going on?
“We’ve got to break a big one, and that entails everyone,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said. “That includes the play calls, that includes guys blocking on the perimeter, includes guys blocking inside and it includes our runners creating.”
The only thing the 49ers’ run game is creating are a bunch of questions about what’s wrong with this team after their 26-21 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

The 49ers’ running game has not been good. Only four teams have averaged fewer than their 88.0 yards per game on the ground.
