The Oakland Police Department is requesting the public's help in finding a missing at-risk teenager.

Police said on Tuesday 15-year-old Amarie Woods was initially last seen at 9:35 a.m. on Sept. 19 in the 4300 block of Tompkins Avenue in the Redwood Heights area, north of Mills College. She was wearing a silver sweater and multi-colored shorts, according to police.

Woods is described by police as standing 5 feet and 5 inches tall, 200 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. Her family reports that the teenager is in good mental and physical condition, police said.

A witness later reported seeing Woods at around 4 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of International Boulevard, according to police.

Police encourage the public to call the OPD Missing Persons Unit at 510-238-3641 if Woods is seen.
