SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - An armed-carjacking suspect faces new charges in connection with a March shooting outside Springfield Union Station .

The 19-year-old suspect was arrested after cutting off his ankle bracelet which was related to that armed-carjacking arrest from July .

On Monday September 29 just before 2:00 in the afternoon, police arrested 19-year-old Malachi Williams in connection with three outstanding warrants. Williams was taken into custody after he was spotted on Pearl Street and attempted to run into an unoccupied apartment on Elliot Street.

One arrest warrant stems from an incident on March 25. Officers responded to a shooting outside of Springfield Union Station and located two gunshot victims who were suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Officer
