HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) -- Alabama A&M University officials investigated a bomb threat the school received Tuesday.

Alabama A&M University released the following statement on its Facebook page Tuesday:

"ALERT: University officials and safety authorities are aware of a bomb threat received by Alabama A&M University. Students, faculty, and staff please stay clear of the JF Drake LRC area as the situation is investigated. Please monitor Bulldog Alerts and campus emails for further information and updates."

The university later posted an all clear was issued because there was no immediate threat found to the campus. The university resumed normal operations.
