An investigation is underway after a bomb threat Tuesday morning at Alabama A&M University.
About 11 a.m., the historically Black college issued a statement asking students, faculty and staff to stay clear of the JF Drake LRC area.
“If you are not on campus,” the statement read, “please remain safe where you are.”
The college is one of several schools nationwide to receive similar threats today.
Delaware State University, also an HBCU, announced an evacuation and cancelled all classes for the remainder of Tuesday after receiving a bomb threat.
Towson University in Maryland received a threat to its student union and Morgan State University, an HBCU in Maryland, received an email threat that indicated a possible explosive device at the Richardson Library.
