Douglas Kerley described his wife, Shannon Morrow, as his safe space — “my best friend, my biggest supporter, my soulmate, my rock.”

Morales, 57, pleaded guilty Tuesday to homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, driving under the influence, and several lesser violations. As part of the plea agreement, he was sentenced to 3 to 6 years in prison.
