More than 200 friends and relatives turned out to remember a much-loved Birmingham dad killed in a hit-and-run crash.

Balloons were tonight, Tuesday, September 30, released at the spot outside Longbridge railway station where Daniel Hanson, 34, was fatally struck by a car which West Midlands Police said left the scene.

He was given treatment at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to hospital but died after the collision, which happened at 11.15pm on Sunday, September 21.

A minute's silence was also held tonight and house music was played out later.
