Film star Josh Hartnett was sent to hospital last week following a two-vehicle collision with police in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The 47-year-old American actor, who was a passenger in the SUV, is in Canada filming an untitled Netflix limited series.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said in a news release last week that the driver, a 59-year-old man, and passenger were sent to hospital with minor injuries following the collision in St. John’s.

The male officer went to hospital as a precaution, police added.

The crash occurred at an intersection shortly before 1 a.m. last Thursday.

“There was significant damage to both of the vehicles involved,” police said.
