Made clear on Monday: Louisville's main library downtown will be getting renovated.
What's still unclear: What that will that happen, and whether the library need to close for any amount of time.
Rumors of a temporary closure for renovations have spread, causing anxiety among those who depend on the library.
"No official word has come out, about, like, the exact closing date or about solutions to the problems that will create," Jennifer Twyman from VOCAL-KY said.
Library employees told WLKY that they have been advised to prepare for a possible temporary closure on Oct. 26.
When we asked Mayor Craig Greeneberg about this on Tuesday, he said, "No plans have been finalized."
