CLINTON, Ill. (WAND) - Clinton firefighters were called out Tuesday afternoon to extinguish a combine fully on fire, which left one person hospitalized.
The Clinton Fire Department stated that firefighters were called out after noon Tuesday to the area of Reagan Road and U.S. Highway 54 for a combine and field fire.
Firefighters arrived to find a bean crop on fire and a combine fully engulfed in flames underneath power lines.
CFD said that the power company was immediately called to shut off the lines, briefly leaving 180 customers without power.
The fire was quickly contained, and one person was taken to the hospital but has since been released.
