BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — In the last few weeks, especially in the wake of the assassination of conservative figure Charlie Kirk, many have questioned who would the one to take the mantle from him, not only with his group, Turning Point USA, but with leading the youth conservative movement.

One of those people, which the New York Post called Kirk's "protege" is Brilyn Hollyhand, a 19-year-old freshman at Auburn University who has embarked on a small run of college towns on behalf of TPUSA called the "One Conversation at a Time" tour to reach fellow students. While some have criticized Hollyhand as a "distraction," his political rise has been years in the making, starting in his hometown of Tuscaloosa.
