A 29-year-old woman was shot during a domestic incident in the East Germantown section of Philadelphia on Tuesday, police said.

The shooting occurred at around 2:23 p.m. inside the woman's home at the 100 block of East Walnut Lane, police said.

A person of interest is in custody and the motive is believed to be domestic, police said.
