KINGSTON, N.Y. — A group of cancer patients, survivors and caregivers is requesting a pause in the planned sale of a house where popular oncological services were offered for three decades.
On her Facebook page, one of the group’s founders, Melissa Eppard, a breast cancer survivor, posted that the group is also seeking volunteers to join in the effort.
The group, currently known as the Friends of the Oncology Services Program, has requested that Westchester Medical Center Health Network, parent company of HealthAlliance Hospital, take the Herbert H. and Sofia P. Reuner Cancer Support House off the market. The house is at 80 Mary’s Ave., across from the hospital.
