LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Federal officials will examine the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ response to antisemitism on campus, a U.S. Department of Justice release said Tuesday.

According to the release, the Civil Rights Division has launched an investigation into UNLV. The investigation aims to determine whether UNLV denied equal treatment to individuals based on race or national origin, a violation of Title IV and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The investigation will focus on UNLV’s response to antisemitism on campus, DOJ officials said.
